The In-year Fair Access group highlights good practice local arrangements and makes recommendations with a view towards the Government updating the Schools Admissions Code: here.

An overview of LA guidance and advice for schools about Flexi-schooling has been produced with recommendations for SESLIP LAs: report.

We recently circulated this letter from the DfE about elective home education (EHE) which sets out expectations of the role of local authorities (LAs).

We welcomed a DfE representative from the EHE team to our 9 June 2021 meeting. We look forward to continuing to cooperate with the Dept and here is a copy of the presentation that was shared.

With our LAs receiving an increasing number of notifications of children moving to EHE, we have put together this response on behalf of SESLIP which has been sent to the DfE.
