We include all stakeholders: education, health, social care, parent carers and young people.
We operate through peer support as well as running regional events, workshops and training on topics which are identified through our regional Steering Group, members of the network and national bodies.
Governance is through the SE19 SEND Network Steering Group, chaired by Kevin McDaniel (DCS RB Windsor & Maidenhead). Membership is made up of representatives from Local Authority SEND Leads together with representation from National Network of Parent Carer Forums, Designated Clinical Officer and Principal Education Psychologist representation, with input from DfE SEND Advisers and NHS England (South East).

SENDAP Improvement Plan Update
The long awaited publication of the Governments SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan is now available to view and download.
The plan explains what the Government proposes they will do to make sure more children and young people with SEND or in alternative provision get the support they need.
It follows the SEND and alternative provision green paper which was consulted on in March 2022. The plan includes:
- responses to the feedback received
- the improvements they will make as a result of the feedback
- the proposals they’re going to test and review
The roadmap summarises the actions the Government will take to improve the SEND and alternative provision system in England that are set out in the improvement plan.
The Government’s SEND and alternative provision green paper sets out its vision for a single, national SEND and alternative provision (AP) system that will introduce new standards in the quality of support given to children across education, health and social care. You can access a copy of the Green Paper on gov.uk: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/send-review-right-support-right-place-right-time
Alongside the Green paper, they have also published:
- A dedicated SEND Review website with further information about the consultation and upcoming events: https://sendreview.campaign.gov.uk/
- Supporting resources on gov.uk to help understand the green paper: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/send-and-ap-green-paper-responding-to-the-consultation
