Programme:

Ofsted Education Recovery Series: Autumn 2021

Update:

On 16 December, Ofsted published three reports in its Education Recovery Series of research and analysis, covering schools, early years and FE and skills providers.

Action Required:

Findings include further confirmation of below average attendance, and this affects those with SEND and from disadvantaged backgrounds more, also new cohorts starting new schools (year R, year 7, and also year 8) display difficulties settling into their learning and are less school ready.

Key Data – a new online service from AYPH

Update:

On 14 December, Association for Young People’s Health moved its 25-year Key Data Series online. It collates publicly available data, extracting what is directly relevant to the 10-25 age group. It was launched at an online webinar on the main findings by AYPH’s Research Lead Dr Ann Hagell

Action Required:

AYPH are very interested in what users think of this as a resource, or any information about additional data sources that might be relevant.
